Quapaw Baths, located on Bathhouse Row in Hot Springs National Park, is a full-service spa that offers thermal water pools and private baths, massages, facials, and other body treatments.

Featuring a large dome covered with mosaic tiles, the Quapaw was completed in 1922 and last operated in 1984 until Don Harper and his partners were able to reopen it in 2008. They lease the bathhouse from the National Park Service.

Henderson State University ASBTDC staff assisted Harper with business planning, financials and loan packaging, market and industry research, and search engine optimization. Harper also partnered with the HSU ASBTDC, Dr. Anita Williams, and a group of graduate students to develop a marketing plan for the business.

"The HSU ASBTDC is a valuable strategic partner for our business," said Harper. "I will continue to use them as a resource in the future to assist me as Quapaw continues to grow. The HSU ASBTDC is a free resource that all small businesses should take advantage of."

Approximately 25 new jobs were created with the re-opening of the Quapaw.
