Compete for Startup Funds in Rural Entrepreneurship Challenge

Rural agriculture and food businesses are encouraged to explore the 2017 Farm Bureau Rural Entrepreneurship Challenge. Now in its third year, the national business competition challenge is an opportunity for rural entrepreneurs to pitch innovative business ideas to a team of judges with expertise in business development and agribusiness.
Online applications are due by June 30.
A total of $145,000 in startup funds is available. Six semi-finalist teams win $10,000 each and four finalist teams compete for the following:
- Farm Bureau Entrepreneur of the Year award and $30,000 (chosen by judges)
- People’s Choice award and $25,000 (chosen by public vote)
- First runner-up prize of $15,000
- Second runner-up prize of $15,000
