Contact Period Open Through May 22 for Defense Dept. SBIR Feedback
April 28th, 2014 by Rebecca Todd
Small companies interested in SBIR funding for research and product development have two weeks to get direct feedback from Defense Department units in conjunction with the department’s 2014.2 solicitation for proposals.
The Department of Defense Small Business Innovation Research 2014.2 pre-solicitation offers opportunities for innovative small firms. Research projects are being sought by the Army, Navy, Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), Defense Microelectronics Activity (DMA), and Missile Defense Agency (MDA). Each of the DoD components has posted research topics for which they seek responsive proposals.
During the two-week pre-solicitation that runs until May 22, interested applicants may talk directly with the topic authors to ask technical questions. Contact information for each topic author can be found on each topic description page. After May 22, communication with topic authors can only take place through the public online SBIR Interactive Topic Information System (SITIS) forum, to allow for competitive fairness.
Potential applicants are strongly advised to take advantage of the two-week window and communicate directly with topic authors to determine whether or not your project ideas are strong fits for the research topics of interest.
Proposals are due by June 25 at 5 p.m. Central time. For assistance with the development of your DoD SBIR proposal, contact Rebecca Norman at email@example.com or 501.683.7700.
