DOE Announces Technology Commercialization Fund
February 24th, 2016 by Sarah Ricard
The U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Technology Transitions earlier this month announced a commitment of up to $20 million for the first round of the DOE’s Technology Commercialization Fund. The TCF was developed to promote commercialization of promising energy-related technologies and to help the national labs partner with private-sector companies to bring the technologies to the marketplace.
TCF funds will be used to match 50 percent non-federal funds from private partners.
The strongest proposals submitted by the DOE’s national laboratories that show promising energy technology and a proposed funding match will be selected for TCF funding.
