HHS Seeks Proposal Ideas on Sharing Health Information
April 21st, 2015 by Rebecca Todd
Researchers conducting work in the field of health information technology are encouraged to explore grant funding opportunities for the Community Interoperability Health Information Exchange (HIE) Program. This program is intended to improve the flow of health information at the community level, and $1 million in grant funds are available.
The Community Interoperability and HIE program will provide funds to up to 10 community organizations, state or local government agencies, or other community groups.
Applicants are encouraged, but not required, to propose projects that could be replicable in other communities and are cross-jurisdictional, interstate, or regional in nature. However, one entity must act as the responsible fiscal agent and submit the application on behalf of all the partners.
A free informational webinar on this funding opportunity is set for May 6 at 2 p.m. CDT. Register for the webinar.
Notices of intent to apply (optional) are due May 15. Proposal submissions will be due on June 15.
