NIDILRR Opens to SBIR Phase I Proposals

The SBIR program for the National Institute on Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research funds up to 10 Phase I feasibility projects for approximately six months for up to $75,000 each.
The NIDILRR’s SBIR program focuses on products and services that benefit people with disabilities and funds research and development related to education, assistive technology, science, or an engineering question or problem.
The closing date for proposal applications responding to this funding opportunity is April 25.
After the completion of Phase I, most businesses can compete for Phase II awards which can last up to 24 months for a total of up to $575,000.
