NOAA Seeks SBIR Proposal Applications

The Department of Commerce’s National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) is accepting research proposals from small businesses for SBIR funding.

During Phase I of the program, small businesses may submit innovative research proposals on the following topics:

  • Resilient Coastal Communities
  • Healthy Oceans
  • Climate Adaptation and Mitigation
  • Weather-Ready Nation
  • SBIR Tech Transfer (SBIR-TT)

The Phase I submission deadline is Jan. 14, 2016.

The ASBTDC hosted an introductory NOAA SBIR webinar Aug. 24 led by Vince Garcia, NOAA SBIR program manager. This webinar provided details about NOAA’s mission and how to develop winning SBIR proposal applications.
