NOAA Seeks SBIR Proposals

Innovative businesses interested in developing new technologies that improve conditions of the oceans and in the atmosphere may benefit from exploring funding opportunities within the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Small Business Innovation Research Program. Phase I applications are due Jan. 31.

NOAA SBIR awards are up to $120,000 with up to a six-month period of performance. Research topics for responsive applications include:

  • Integrated Earth System Processes and Predictions (3 subtopics)
  • Environmental Observations (13 subtopics)
  • Decision Science, Risk Assessment and Risk Communication (6 subtopics)
  • SBIR-Technology Transfer (1 subtopic)
