NSF para promover el aprendizaje de STEM con I-L Cuerpo; busca candidatos

30 de de julio de, 2014 por Rebecca Norman

Through its new Innovation Corps for Learning (I-Corps L) programa, the National Science Foundation wants to bring promising STEM-based education practices into common, widespread use.

The agency recognizes that an entrepreneurial approach is required to get the best evidence-based practices out where they can influence large numbers of students, rather than an individual classroom.

To help promote widespread adoption of promising educational practices to promote science, tecnología, ingeniería, and mathematics, or STEM, learning, NSF will fund 24 teams to participate in an education-focused I-Corps L pilot cohort. Through I-Corps L, education researchers will identify approaches that are effective in teaching and learning STEM. The curriculum uses a hypothesis-testing, scientific method of discovery that is familiar to researchers, in order to garner needed insights regarding issues associated with their innovations.

Proposals from potential I-Corps L teams will be accepted through Sept. 30. Questions can be directed to Program Director Don Millard at dmillard@nsf.gov.
