Report Names 11 Barriers Small Innovators Face, Offers Solutions

The Small Business Administration Office of Advocacy’s recent report, Small Innovative Company Growth – Barriers, Best Practices and Big Ideas: Lessons from the 3D Printing Industry, identifies challenges innovative small businesses face.
The report’s author, Mark Harrison, is the SBA Office of Advocacy’s entrepreneur in residence.
In order to ground report contents in the practical business world, Harrison examined barriers specific to advanced manufacturing and 3D printing. He identifies 11 barriers ranging from student debt to commercialization challenges and high equipment costs. Best practices and ideas for addressing each barrier can be found within the report.
