SBA Seeks Ideas for New SBIR/STTR Logo
May 19th, 2015 by Rebecca Todd
The Small Business Administration recently launched a competition to create a new logo design for its Small Business Innovation Research and Small Business Technology Transfer programs. SBIR/STTR’s tag line is 12 Agencies…1 Vision: Seed The Future. The winning entry will serve as the official logo for the SBIR/STTR programs and will receive a $2,500 prize.
The deadline to submit is May 29.
The SBIR/STTR programs represent the government’s largest effort to support research-driven, innovative and cutting-edge small businesses. Artists, small businesses, and technologists are invited to submit their logo creations that will provide a visual representation of the government’s SBIR/STTR programs. The winning logo will be widely used by the SBA for promotional and education outreach.
Eligible participants must register to participate in the competition under the link designated for that purpose by SBA on challenge.gov. Submissions cannot come from federal employees acting within the scope of their employment and must be from citizens or permanent residents of the U.S.
The winning logo will be premiered at the 2015 Tibbetts Awards ceremony on June 15, and be highlighted at the National SBIR/STTR conference taking place June 15-17 in Washington, D.C.
