March 23rd, 2016 by Rebecca Todd

(Third in a series)

The 2016 Arkansas SBIR Road Tour will feature representatives from nine federal agency components:

The agencies have unique missions, objectives, and areas of research interest. By taking the time to learn about these differences, you can demonstrate in your quad chart and later in your proposal how your project directly supports the agency values and long-term vision. Proposal reviewers want to see the connection between your proposed research and the agency mission clearly articulated, so researching the agencies is an invaluable step in preparing a competitive proposal application. After searching for closed topics and prior awards, you will have a good idea which agencies are the strongest potential targets for your research project. With this preliminary work done, you next want to familiarize yourself with the missions and objectives of the respective agencies that align with your project idea(s). Below are links to help you learn more about the agencies that will participate in the Road Tour April 19 in Little Rock.
