Share Your Innovation with Dept. of Defense Tech Scouts
August 23rd, 2017 by Rebecca Norman
Innovators are encouraged to explore the Department of Defense’s identified needs to determine if they would be a fit, either providing a pitch or poster presentation for Encountering Innovation Week to be held Oct. 23-27 in Wichita, Kansas.
Tuesday is the only pitch day for out-of-state presenters.
At this event, innovators can connect with the agency’s tech scouts who could fast-track their innovations into potential collaboration. Applications are due Friday, Aug. 25.
The event page identifies all innovations of current interest to DoD. These include medical and biotech, cyber security, UAVs, robotics, and many others.
At an April event held in New York, almost 20% of the presenting innovations were fast-tracked into commercialization.
Before you apply, take a moment to identify your best fit and Technology Readiness Level (TRL).
