LEAF stands for “Latinx Entrepreneurs And Families.”
LEAF aims to support and empower rural Latinx entrepreneurs and business owners across Arkansas. The new program is a joint venture of Conductor and the Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center.
“Small businesses and families are two of the most important threads in the fabric of our communities. We are excited about the collaboration and look forward to working with the Conductor to assist Latinx entrepreneurial communities,” said Laura Fine, ASBTDC state director.
LEAF seeks to overcome communication barriers by teaching business development and financial management skills to bilingual individuals so they can share the information with their Spanish-speaking family members.
At the heart of the program is a five-part training series.
Running from July 9-Aug. 20, the training will be presented in English and Spanish. Bilingual family members of primarily Spanish-speaking entrepreneurs, along with the entrepreneurs themselves, are invited to participate.
Materials such as a workbook and PowerPoint presentations will be provided in English and Spanish.
There is no cost to participate. To apply, please complete the online form.
