Belinda and Joe Ward of Imboden never thought their family-owned cattle farm would one day turn into a farm-to-table storefront business.
For two years, they operated 2 Rivers Land and Cattle online, allowing customers to order beef for pickup at their home or at a designated location. While this system worked, the couple wanted to do more.
“Our goal is to provide a healthier, better-quality protein and vegetable source for our community,” they said.

The Wards work hard to ensure the quality of every product they offer, from jerky to steaks. “We make sure we provide high-quality beef to our customers. We treat our customers like family. We will go out of our way to keep them informed and satisfied with their purchase,” the couple shared.
Their commitment to quality begins on their farm. The Wards raise their cattle on excellent grain and rotational grazing, and avoid unnecessary antibiotics, vaccines, and added dyes.
In the spring of 2025, the Wards connected with the Arkansas State University ASBTDC through the Randolph County Chamber of Commerce. They sought advice on managing their cash flow and building a stronger foundation for their business.
With guidance from the A-State center’s consultants, they learned budgeting and marketing skills that gave them the confidence to grow.
By summer, the Wards had officially opened a small market on their property, allowing customers to shop directly. Today, 2 Rivers Land and Cattle is thriving, both online and in person, and the Wards are proud of their role in providing quality cuts of meat to their neighbors.
Beyond the store, Belinda and Joe remain deeply involved in their community. They enjoy attending local events and often host raffles to raise funds for area charities and causes.
