The Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center at Arkansas Tech University will hold a Women in Business Conference April 14 on the Russellville campus.
The center is working with ATU student organization Enactus on the event, which will feature four TED-style presentations.
Successful entrepreneurs Cindy Mahan, Lauren Stinson, and Martha Moore will discuss their journeys of turning their passions into businesses, and a representative from the U.S. Small Business Administration will discuss resources available to women-owned businesses.
“We are thrilled to have Cindy Mahan from Friendship Community Care, Lauren Stinson from The Cake Place, and Martha Moore from Sealtite of Arklahoma speak. These women have been recognized statewide for being top in their fields. They are donating their time to share with others some of the lessons they have learned about owning a business. Wanda May from the SBA has years of experience in helping women leverage tools to move their businesses forward and is a wonderful resource for any business owner,” said Ronda Hawkins of the center.
The free event begins at 9:30 a.m. and concludes at noon.
Although there is no charge to attend, seating is limited and pre-registration is required. To reserve your seat, call the Arkansas Tech University ASBTDC office at (479) 356-2067 or register online no later than April 13.
