Lee Forrest looked to the ASBTDC at the University of Arkansas at Monticello when he started his business in 2015, then turned to the center again three years later.
The owner of Lee’s Heating and Air of Monticello, LLC was looking to grow his business through the Monticello Economic Development Commission’s Small Business Revolving Loan Program.
The UAM office assisted Forrest with the MEDC loan application process, business plan, and financial projections, helping him secure the loan.
Forrest has over 18 years of HVAC experience. He has certificates and licenses to do everything from commercial to residential jobs.
He reached out for assistance with starting his business after a referral from a local bank, and the center helped him step by step.
Then in 2018, wanting to take his business to the next level, the collaboration of ASBTDC and MEDC resulted in working capital for his business.
“Everyone wins when we partner our resources together. All of our efforts are to help our economy grow. The ASBTDC has so many resources available for small business owners, and we have great and strong partnerships across the state of Arkansas. We want to let entrepreneurs know that we are available to assistant in every aspect of the business,” said Lavonica Davis, business consultant at the center.
