The Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center at the University of Arkansas at Monticello has a new director, Aimee Weaver. Weaver started Oct. 16.
She brings business ownership and lending experience to the job. Weaver has owned a restaurant, a retail business, and a consulting firm focusing on restaurant and hospitality businesses. She was also a field consultant for a restaurant franchise development group in Arkansas.
Most recently, Weaver served as a business banking specialist for US Bank in Hot Springs.
As a business owner, she used the services of the ASBTDC in her area.
“I am honored to be able to assist business owners in the Delta and look forward to working and guiding them through an experience I am very familiar with. The ASBTDC is a great place to start when considering starting or expanding a business,” she said.
The UAM center serves current and potential business owners in Arkansas, Ashley, Bradley, Chicot, Cleveland, Desha, Drew, Jefferson and Lincoln counties.
