March 20 was a special day in several Arkansas cities. Mayors of 18 cities, including Little Rock, issued proclamations in honor of national SBDC Day.
The day recognizes the small business clients and economic impact of America’s SBDC, the national network of Small Business Development Centers of which the Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center is an accredited member.
Cities marking the day with official proclamations (in alphabetical order): Ashdown, Bradley, East Camden, Camden, El Dorado, Hampton, Hope, Jonesboro, Lewisville, Little Rock, Magnolia, McNeil, Norphlet, Prescott, Smackover, Stamps, Stephens, and Texarkana.

ASBTDC’s other SBDC Day activities included
- Open houses in Arkadelphia and Hot Springs
- An interview with Ronda Hawkins, a business consultant at the Arkansas Tech University ASBTDC, on KARV-FM Radio in Russellville.
- A live webinar for local elected officials on ways to assist existing businesses in their communities
- A lively social media campaign involving all centers
