Laura Fine, state director of the Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center, was elected Sept. 3 to the America’s SBDC Board of Directors.
She will serve a two-year term on the 10-member board, the governing body of the national Association of Small Business Development Centers.
The America’s SBDC network comprises nearly 1,000 centers across the country that provide no-cost consulting and other services to approximately one million small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs each year.
Local centers are hosted by leading universities, colleges, state economic development agencies and private partners and funded in part by the U.S. Small Business Administration.
“I am honored to serve on the board and look forward to working on a national level to promote and strengthen the SBDC program so that we can assist more Americans with fulfilling their dreams of business ownership,” said Fine, who is in her 30th year with ASBTDC.
She previously served on the America’s SBDC Accreditation Committee.
