Governor Asa Hutchinson designated March 16, 2022, as Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center Day across the state, in conjunction with the 6th annual national SBDC Day.
Hutchinson’s proclamation reads, in part, “WHEREAS: The Arkansas SBTDC Network works with all types of small businesses, from home-based to high-tech and serves the entire state from eleven offices, including four new offices opened in the last year; and
“WHEREAS: In the last five years, the Arkansas SBTDC network consulting services have helped small businesses secure over $431 million in capital, start 793 new businesses, and support over 34,000 jobs; and
“WHEREAS: Small Business Development Centers have become the nationwide leader in job creation and small business growth, and I wish the Arkansas SBTDC Network on this National SBDC Day continued success in the future.
“Now, therefore, I, Asa Hutchinson, Governor of the State of Arkansas, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the laws of the State of Arkansas, do hereby proclaim March 16th, 2022, as Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center Day across the State, and I urge my fellow citizens to celebrate the achievements of small business owners and their employees and encourage the continued development of new businesses.”
