As ASBTDC’s new capital access specialist, Brandon Horvath is focused on increasing capital investment in ASBTDC client companies.
With the COVID-19 crisis, access to capital has never been more critical for small businesses.
“I will work alongside borrowers to ensure that they clearly understand their project and what it will take to be successful in repaying the loan,” said Horvath. “The process of getting financing can be confusing for a lot of small business owners, especially in the startup or aggressive-growth phase.”
In addition to consulting with clients seeking funding, Horvath will be reaching out to banks, economic development corporations, and other business financing entities to enhance relationships and encourage collaboration and client referrals.
“As a part of my role, I will be working to connect with lenders to better understand their bank-specific processes and criteria,” he said.
While limited by social distancing, he looks forward to engaging with lenders and other small business funders.
Horvath is not new to the ASBTDC network. He has nearly seven years of experience with the Henderson State University ASBTDC. Most recently, he was director of the HSU center, which has offices in Arkadelphia and Hot Springs.
“Brandon brings a wealth of experience developing relationships with lenders and providing direct consulting to Arkansas small businesses,” said Entrepreneurial Services Manager Heather Robinette.
