Stinson Chiropractic in Springdale was born of a deep-rooted passion for healthcare and a desire to serve others.
Influenced by his grandfather, a medical doctor, Andrew Stinson’s interest in healthcare began at an early age.
He wanted to pursue a similar path and completed undergraduate studies in medical and molecular biology. But shortly after graduation, newly married, and with a desire to give back, he and his wife interned with CRU, a Christian campus ministry, at the University of Oklahoma and later became certified in English as a Second Language.
Embarking on international adventures, they taught in Belgium and Nicaragua where they opened a language school, an experience provided them with valuable business experience and the satisfaction of helping those in need.
Returning to the United States, Stinson began his chiropractic studies at Cleveland University-Kansas City, but a growing family necessitated a different career. Despite his success, his heart was still in healthcare, and he returned to chiropractic school to complete his program, graduating with honors in 2024.
He knew he wanted to open a chiropractic office in Northwest Arkansas. However, he had lots of questions, from what was needed for a loan to understanding leases and contracts,
He was referred to the University of Arkansas ASBTDC and connected with business consultant Lori Lieblong. She helped him develop a comprehensive business plan, utilizing comprehensive market research, and review and refinement of startup expenses and revenue projections.
The expert counsel was invaluable, since he had never owned or operated a business in the state. Insights provided by ASBTDC into the local chiropractic landscape gave Stinson a boost.
“The help kept me moving forward confidently,” he said.
The center also offered advice and guidance on marketing, insurance, and financial forecasting to reflect future expenses adequately.
When asked what he would tell other entrepreneurs about working with ASBTDC, Dr. Stinson is quick with praise. “This organization is wonderful, giving clear direction, and they go above and beyond to help businesses like mine succeed,” he said.
He encourages other healthcare entrepreneurs to reach out to ASBTDC, even if they think they have the answers.
