The Arkansas Research Alliance has launched, under its AR-NETWORK initiative, a program aimed at advancing early- to mid-career faculty and research staff with the potential to become Arkansas’s next generation of research leaders.
Funded by the National Science Foundation’s E-CORE program (NSF Grant #OIA-2438206), the Emerging Research Leaders program is designed to build long-term research capacity by developing individuals with the vision, skills, and ambition to lead competitive, multidisciplinary research programs aligned with the state’s strategic priorities—advanced materials, energy systems, precision agriculture, health, and data/analytics.

Each interested faculty member is encouraged to consult with your institution’s Vice Provost for Research (or equivalent leadership, contact your research administrator) to identify strong candidates, or to self-nominate. Only two participants per institution are allowed.
Participants will benefit from statewide collaboration, structured leadership training, and mentorship by senior research executives.
