The National Development Council has certified Brandon Horvath and Kristen Cribb of the Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center as Economic Development Finance Professionals with emphasis on Business Credit Analysis.
To earn the EDFP-BCA certification, Cribb and Horvath had to complete a rigorous, three-course training series and pass examinations for each course.
The training covered economic development finance, basic and advanced business credit, loan packaging procedures, deal structuring techniques, and complex financial issues.
Horvath is the director of the Henderson State University ASBTDC, while Cribb is a business consultant at the Southern Arkansas University center.
Both work closely with small business clients, providing confidential, no-cost consulting and guidance to current and prospective business owners.
“NDC is a nationally recognized program, and this professional credential signifies Kristen’s and Brandon’s ability to assist clients with a wide range of financial projects,” said Laura Fine, ASBTDC state director. “Investing in professional development is just one way the Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center demonstrates its commitment to helping small businesses grow and create jobs.”
Since 1969, NDC has trained professionals working in the fields of economic and housing development. Participants come from city and state governments, public agencies, community-based organizations, professional organizations and banks.
