Interim Director
Bringing over 19 years of business experience to the position, Caren (Carrie) Jackson started as a business consultant at the ASBTDC at the University of Arkansas in January 2025 and was later elevated to acting center director.
She previously served 14 years in accounting, finance, and compliance roles at the university. Carrie has also worked for small businesses in accounting, finance, and human resources.
Carrie comes from a long line of entrepreneurs. Both of her parents started successful businesses and sold them. Carrie’s dad has a lengthy career as a serial entrepreneur who often owned several types of businesses at the same time.
A graduate of the University of Arkansas, she holds a Master of Business Administration as well as an accounting degree from the University of Missouri. Carrie also holds an active CPA license in the state of Arkansas.
