The Kelamis Plastic Surgery Center in Fayetteville opened in early 2021 as a full-service plastic and reconstructive surgery practice. Dr. J. Alex Kelamis considers his life work as “a blend of art and science, combining intuition and creativity with extensive surgical training, discipline, and compassion.”
Early in their decision to open the solo practice, Dr. Kelamis and his wife Taylor reached out to the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville ASBTDC for assistance with a business plan and the development of necessary tools to start the practice.
After starting with the business plan and finance options, the center also provided comprehensive market research, and its human resources specialist offered guidance on hiring practices and crafting job descriptions.
Next, business consultant Lori Lieblong and the ASBTDC marketing team worked with the couple on their brand strategy and marketing needs. Marketing consultant Lindsay Ramsey emphasized that the Northwest Arkansas community wants to know the “who and heart” behind every business.
After reviewing the surgery center’s website and creative brief, the marketing team prepared a brand guide and logo, social media strategy, a content calendar, and email marketing.
The UAF ASBTDC continues to work with Dr. Kelamis and his team on their website and social media.
