The Mansion at the Orchard is a premier wedding venue and event space located in Bentonville.
In 2021, Jason and Jessica Thibodeaux, who lived next door, saw the opportunity to become The Mansion’s new owners. They reached out to the Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, for assistance in purchasing the estate and business.
Mary Beth Brooks, director of the center, advised the couple on the acquisition of the property and business. Brooks assisted with putting together a business plan, strategy, and financial projections, along with a full loan package workup they used to obtain financing.
“We are infinitely grateful for Mary Beth. Without her guidance and enthusiasm for our business, we simply would have had to learn from failing many times over,” said Jason, crediting Brooks for giving them confidence to take over the business and a road map to follow to accomplish their goals.
“We can actually allow ourselves to be excited to dive into our business pursuit rather than worry about how we are going to make it happen. Mary Beth gave us the tools to move forward without fear. Simply invaluable.”
After the purchase, the center’s marketing team guided the new owners on social media strategy and conducted a website review. The team worked with the Thibodeauxes on the best approach to marketing their specialized services and options for expanded use of the venue. Jessica also participated in the center’s “Create a Profitable Marketing Strategy” webinar.
This elegant venue can host rehearsals, rehearsal dinners, wedding ceremonies, and receptions in one location. Jason’s parents relocated to Arkansas to help operate the business.
The 15-acre estate includes a 5,200 square foot home with five guest suites and is situated on grounds that can accommodate up to 350 guests. The expansive grounds can be used for outdoor entertainment, tents, and games. Event packages are offered ranging from day use to a full weekend.
The Mansion at the Orchard received the Best of Bentonville Award in the Wedding Venue category for 2021.
