One of the best features of Small Business Saturday is the boost it gives to the idea of community.
This year, it is more important than ever to lift up small businesses. Supporting small businesses, in turn, supports your community.
Small Business Saturday is Nov. 28, 2020. Consumers have become familiar with the annual campaign, founded in 2010 by American Express. This year, however, things are going to be slightly different.
With COVID-19 guidelines in place, businesses and shoppers will have to adjust their normal way of doing things. Businesses can prepare for the day, stand out, and keep customers informed on how to Shop Small safely by using the free resources available.
Among the downloadable resources is the Shop Small kit, which contains:
- Shop Small poster – Print it out, fill in your business name, and share what customers love about your business. Then display the sign in your shop to show your participation in the Shop Small campaign.
- Event flyer – Use this flyer to help you get the message out about special activities you are hosting and inspire customers to Shop Small with you.
- Email template – This template is an excellent guide for reminder emails to your customers, letting them know they can Shop Small at your business. Customize your message by adding an image or logo and links to your social profiles.
- Facebook cover photo – Upload this image to your Facebook page to remind your followers to stop by your business.
- Social media images and post templates – Help drive traffic to your business by posting Shop Small graphics and customized posts on your social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
The goal of Small Business Saturday is to remind consumers that they play a key role in helping the small businesses in their community thrive and to encourage them to shop and dine at local businesses.
