Ludwig, Inc. in rural Waldo, Ark., manufactures and sells floral foams. In operation since 1970, the company supplies the floral industry with foam bases for fresh and silk floral arrangements.
Mark Ludwig reached out to the Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center at Southern Arkansas University in March 2020, when the coronavirus pandemic disrupted his business.
The center’s Janell Morton advised Ludwig about COVID-19 funding programs and assisted him with obtaining a Paycheck Protection Program loan. The PPP funding helped the company retain 15 employees.
In 2021, Morton helped Ludwig, Inc. with a second round of PPP and recommended the company for a Business Recovery Services project through ASBTDC.
The project focused on Ludwig’s website, FloralMart.com.
The site now features a functional e-commerce platform. Before this integration, the company was spending hours troubleshooting its online store. Now, they can update and maintain the website effectively.
